Electronic Equipment

Folamh:We buy your waste to help our environment.

Folamh, our Waste Recycling Partner will take all the following recyclable goods off your hands free of charge and the monies we get from them goes towards our Jack and Jill Nurses:

  • Digital Cameras (Any Brand working or non working.)
  • Laptops (Any Brand working or non working.)
  • CD’s, and DVD’s.
  • Keyboards, Mice and cables.
  • Working Flat screens.
  • Working Computers (Pentium 4 or higher)

A competitive charge will apply to the collection of the following, but they will still be of benefit to Jack and Jill:

  • Broken Monitors.
  • Working Computers (Under Pentium 4)
  • Desktop Printers/Scanners and Faxes
  • Photocopiers

Print Cartridges

By the end of 2009, the industry is forecasting the usage of ink cartridges used worldwide will exceed 2 billion (2000 million) Inkjet cartridges.

The number of Print Cartridges used daily worldwide use large quantities of oil to produce and if sent to landfill can take up to 1000 years to decompose.

It is environmentally friendly to have a collection point in your school for recycling your print cartridges. Bring them in from home as well and Folamh will collect them free of charge.

1. Set up a group of people (students, teachers, parents and people from the local community) to take charge of a fundraiser

2. Make a list of the possible ways you could hold a fundraiser in your school.

A Silver Trail.

A Talent Show.

A Creative Writing Competition.

An Art Competition.

A Bake Sale.

…..The list is endless…….

3. Run your event and make sure you take photos. Invite a senior pupil to write about the event for us. We love to hear your efforts share them with The 300+ Jack and Jill Families and thousands of schools in Ireland.
