Where the Money Goes
All money goes towards providing home respite to families with children requiring extensive medical and nursing care at home.
The Jack & Jill Foundation supports these families until the child is four, at which stage the State provides some assistance.
Without the Jack & Jill Foundation, families with children with severe neurological conditions would be left to fend for themselves.
Our liaison nurses determine how much care each family needs up to a max of 64 hours per month. Depending on the severity of the child’s condition, a child may require a nurse rather than a carer.
| Cost of 64 Hours Care | |
|---|---|
| Qualified Nurse | €1,024 |
| Carer | €512 |
All parents will know how difficult it can be to function on very little sleep. Add to that the emotion of looking after a tiny baby who is in pain. For parents like these, even one night’s nursing care is like a holiday from hardship. You can donate a night’s nursing care.
| Cost of 1 Night’s Care | |
|---|---|
| Qualified Nurse | €160 |
| Carer | €80 |
Why not donate a night’s care for a Jack & Jill baby?
€160 for a child who needs a trained nurse or €80 to for a child who needs a carer would go a long way towards giving Mum and Dad a night’s rest. Donate a night’s nursing care.
