WHAT IS UP THE HILL 2023?

Up the Hill is one of our flagship fundraisers that truly has a community appeal, as groups of friends, families and colleagues get together to go Up the Hill to support local Jack and Jill families.

With over 400 families under our care in communities across Ireland, it’s through the kindness of our wonderful supporters who go that extra mile to raise funds and awareness of our service that keeps us going!

Our service provides in-home nursing care, respite support and end-of-life care for children from birth to six years of age who have highly complex and life-limiting medical conditions. Our mission is to empower parents to care for their child at home, because there is no care like home care for a Jack and Jill child.

By registering and taking part in #UptheHill23 and through your fundraising appeal, you will make a real and genuine difference for Jack and Jill families in your local community, for whom Jack and Jill is a lifeline.

Sporting heroes unite to support our superhero families at the launch of #UptheHill23!

Little Grayson Adams (age 3) from Beaumont in Dublin got to enjoy some cuddles from sporting heroes at the launch of our Up the Hill for Jack and Jill summer fundraiser.

Huge thanks to Grayson and his fabulous Mum Dawn, who are such wonderful advocates for Jack and Jill.

#TeamJackandJill have a fantastic community of care wrapped around our families, and we’re proud to have 32 players on board for #UptheHill23 representing the Gaelic Players Association – one GPA member representing every county in Ireland – together with Connacht Rugby Captain and long-term Jack and Jill Ambassador Jack Carty.

We’re so proud to also have the support of our brilliant partners, Abbott Ireland, whose staff are taking on a number of Up the Hill challenges in locations across the country over the summer!

Join the fun and help raise funds and make life a little easier for the families under our care in your community this summer – families like Dawn and Grayson’s.

My parents have passed away, and my husband’s parents are in India, so we don’t have grandparents we can call on to help, so we are very much reliant on the nurses to get a break,” she explained."

It will be nice to have some company this year, with Jim as my backseat driver."
