Jack and Jill have partnered with Revolut to fund vital home nursing care for our 504+ children and families.
Why Donate Regularly to Jack and Jill?
Only 21% of our funding comes from the Government, which makes the support of our monthly donors incredibly important. With more children under our care than ever before, your regular donations help us respond to new referrals each week and ensure families can access support without delay.
We are proud to provide a service that runs seven days a week with no means test, no red tape and no waiting list – ensuring help is there when families need it most.
And we couldn’t do this without you and your support.
By donating monthly, your gift to a Jack and Jill family, is time.
Monthly Support For Our Families Ruby’s Story
Every month, kind and compassionate supporters enable Jack and Jill to say “yes” to families caring for children with complex medical needs at home – providing expert in-home nursing care, respite support and reassurance that families are not facing their journey alone. For families like the Dalys in Galway, that support has made all the diff erence.
Ruby Daly lives in Galway with her mum and dad, Gemma and James, and her little brother, Rían.
She is a bright and much loved little girl who adores swimming, therapeutic horse riding and going to school. But the journey to where Ruby is today has been far from easy.

Ruby was born following a very diffi cult delivery where she suff ered a number of brain haemorrhages. At just three months old, doctors discovered a brain abnormality and, following genetic testing, Ruby was diagnosed with a rare condition called Chromosomal 8P.
For Gemma and James, it was an overwhelming and frightening time. The family fi rst heard about Jack and Jill when Ruby was around 18 months old. Soon afterwards, they met Cathy Keighery, a Jack and Jill Liaison Nurse Manager in Galway, who visited their home to assess Ruby’s needs and the pressures the family were under. At that stage, Ruby needed constant care and attention, and Gemma and James rarely had a moment to themselves. Having a Jack and Jill carer come into their home before Ruby turned two changed everything. Gemma describes it simply as “life-changing”.
“Just having a second pair of hands, somebody there to help with Ruby’s care needs, made such a huge diff erence to our family.” Not long afterwards, shortly after welcoming baby Rían, Ruby suff ered a serious injury to her femur following a fall. She required surgery and spent a long period in a cast. “It would have been impossible without the extra support,” Gemma says. “Having somebody there while recovering from having a new baby and trying to manage everything at home made all the diff erence.”
Today, Ruby is doing really well. She loves school, swimming and therapeutic horse riding and continues to thrive surrounded by the people and comforts she loves most. “It’s helped us function as a family,” Gemma says. “It’s made family life turn out so diff erently to those early days when we really didn’t know what was ahead.” By becoming a monthly donor, you can help provide consistent, reliable care to families across Ireland.
