Eddie Hobbs dropped by the MM Ward offices in Naas to announce the fact that MM Ward has chosen the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation as its charity partner for 2014/2015
The way the new partnership works is that every time a new customer mentions Jack & Jill when either buying or renting a home from MM Ward the company will make a donation to Jack & Jill to fund up to 20 hours of vital home nursing care for families in Kildare. That equates to a donation from MM Ward of up to €320 to Jack & Jill per transaction and the company is hoping that as many customers as possible will participate in this local fundraising initiative.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides direct funding and home nursing care support, including end of life care, to families of children with brain damage up to the age of 4 years old who suffer severe intellectual and physical developmental delay. The Foundation gives these families what it calls ‘the gift of time’ which means time to do the things that we so often take for granted like shopping, taking their other children to the park, a night’s sleep etc. The Jack & Jill Foundation has provided home nursing care support to over 1,700 children nationwide since 1997, including 95 sick children in Kildare. Damien Ward, managing director of MM Ward said: “I am delighted to be supporting the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation who provide vital supports for children and families at a very vulnerable time. I am proud as a local business owner to partner with a local charity, especially one as deserving as Jack & Jill.”
