Saoirse is a dedicated nurse with a strong passion for supporting children with Intellectual Disabilities and complex care needs. She began her career in Intellectual Disability Nursing and qualified from Atlantic Technological University in Donegal in 2017, before going on to complete her Paediatric Nursing Degree at Dublin City University in 2020.
Saoirse trained and worked in Temple Street Children's Hospital gaining valuable experience across all aspects of paediatric care and supporting children with complex and life-limiting conditions. Saoirse has worked in the general paediatric wards, Paediatric A&E and also the community settings. Her work has included close involvement in palliative care which, has further developed a compassionate and family centred approach to caring for the child and family. These experiences led her to her current role with Jack and Jill and furthering her learning and expertise in all aspects of caring for children with complex needs and life limiting conditions.
