We’re thrilled to have won the Employer Excellence Award at the Charity Excellence Awards 2026, recognising our commitment to our people and the culture of care, respect and teamwork we have built together.

Hosted by Charities Institute Ireland and sponsored by Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, the awards took place on 5th November at Dublin’s Mansion House.
This recognition belongs to our 68 colleagues, who make Jack and Jill a place where people feel valued, supported and heard. From wellbeing and inclusion to professional development and employee feedback, investing in our people helps us deliver vital care and support to families across Ireland.
Deirdre Walsh, CEO of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, said:

“Receiving this award was one of my proudest moments as CEO. It recognises what is at the very heart of Jack and Jill: our people and the culture we have built together.
“Thank you to our Senior Leadership Team and Board for their leadership and support, and especially to our Head of HR, Jennifer Geoghegan, whose dedication to championing our people has been instrumental in this achievement. Above all, thank you to our 68 wonderful colleagues, whose hard work and commitment bring our values to life every day.
“As we approach our 30th anniversary in 2027, we also recognise the amazing colleagues who have helped shape Jack and Jill over the years. They are part of our story and this success. To everyone who has been on this journey with us, thank you. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.”
We were also proud to be shortlisted for Fundraising Campaign of the Year for our Walk 100km Challenge with Life Pharmacy, which raised €143,064 – enough to fund 7,948 hours of in-home nursing care and respite support. While we didn’t take home the prize, we are immensely proud of what we achieved together and grateful for the recognition among so many worthy campaigns.
Declan J Magee, Chair of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, said:
“It was a real pleasure to join our Jack and Jill team and partners, Life Pharmacy, at the awards, and particularly pleasing to win the Employer Excellence Award. Congratulations to Deirdre and Jennifer for creating such an inclusive, supportive working environment, and thank you to our wonderful staff for recognising and acknowledging that.”
