Glenveagh Homes Launches New Charity Partnerships with Jack and Jill and ALONE

Glenveagh Homes announces two new charity partnerships for 2021 with The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation and ALONE. While Glenveagh is focused on delivering high quality, affordable homes, the homebuilder is just as focused on adding value to communities and those living within them. Glenveagh hopes to play a key role by investing in local communities for years to come with nationally backed, but locally focused charity initiatives that will impact those living in communities.

The charity partners chosen for 2021 were based on a shared ethos to directly assist those who need support most in our communities, children, and older people. Working with Jack & Jill and ALONE allows Glenveagh the opportunity to positively impact people’s lives.

Glenveagh’s approach to building lasting communities ties in with upcoming work with Jack & Jill on staff led initiatives, a demonstration of the Glenveagh team’s community spirit. Volunteer days are planned for the coming months to support the reopening of charity shops, seeing the Glenveagh team engage with the public, when safe to do so, and add value to the charity itself. Similarly, with ALONE, Glenveagh will work on community focused initiatives, adding value to and through activities that build a connection with our elderly population. More information on the charity partnerships will be shared on the soon to launch new Glenveagh website.

Harvey White (1), his Mam Edel and Granny Patty celebrate the announcement from their home in Ballyfermot.

To date, Glenveagh’s community and sponsorship efforts have provided much needed support for local initiatives. The focus of community initiatives from Glenveagh fall under six key pillars – Education, Sustainability, Local Business, Health and Wellbeing, Sports and Fitness and Charity. These charity partnerships are the beginning of a new approach to building lasting communities with more community engagement plans to be activated over the course of 2021.

Stephen Garvey, CEO of Glenveagh Homes, said: “‘In the past year we have all learned, more than ever, the importance community and charity. Our investment in building lasting communities is focused on enhancing the lives of our residents and the wider community, particularly our elderly and children, in places where we build and right across Ireland. We are offering our charity partners one of the most valuable commodities of all, time. The activity we’re planning will see our team on the ground helping with engaging with those in need. These charity partnerships align with our Glenveagh values and something the entire team is proud to be part of.”

Carmel Doyle, CEO of Jack & Jill, said: “It’s fantastic to be chosen by Glenveagh for this charity partnership which is all about investing in and supporting local communities by supporting local Jack & Jill families when they need it most. The fundraising initiatives we’ve planned together will make a big difference, translating into specialist home nursing care hours for children with life limiting conditions in communities, across the country.”
