On Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, all of us at Jack and Jill were delighted to welcome families, volunteers, parents, grandparents, siblings and of course our Jack and Jill children to a truly memorable and fun-filled Family Day at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
Once again, the weather was on our side adding to a fantastic atmosphere filled with bouncy castles, ice creams and face painting. There was jewellery making and nail art, along with wonderful prizes for the best costumes.
This year’s theme, ‘Come as your favourite Disney character’ brought an incredible array of creativity, from princesses and superheroes to plenty of Mickey and Minnie Mouse appearances, as well as favourites from Disney hits ‘Up’, ‘Toy Story’ and ‘Frozen’, to name just a few.
Family Day is a wonderful opportunity for families, both past and present to come together, connect and simply enjoy and enjoy a well-deserved day. Siblings and guests delighted in the carousels, the lively sounds of the ukulele band and ongoing entertainment, including a kiddie disco and magic shows.
It was a wonderful day for all involved, made possible by our incredible volunteers who help bring it to life each year.
