From Cow Patty Bingo to Golf Classic fun, Stocktaking.ie expecting a full house for its combo fundraiser for the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation
Patrick McDermott MD of Stocktaking.ie and his team have been busy with stocktaking of a very different kind, with the launch of its combination fundraiser for the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation – a Cow Patty Bingo raffle in August and a Golf Classic on 7th and 8th September 2012 in Cregmore Park Golf Club.
The Stocktaking.ie team have been busy with photocalls, leaflets and raffle tickets sales locally to promote both the Cow Patty Bingo and the golf with a combined target of raising €10,000 for Jack & Jill. Meanwhile, Cow Patty Bingo star “Jack The Calf” seems to be loving his 3 minutes of fame on You Tube and all the extra stock taking interest in his diet – at both ends of the food chain.
The Cow Patty Bingo involves 25 squares carefully marked out in a secret location in an Athenry field. Participants choose a square number from 1 to 25 and indicate the length of time it will take for Jack the Calf to mark their number with his “own signature Cow Patty Poo”. The person with the winning square and the closest time wins €250. |
The price of entry to the Cow Patty Bingo is €2 per line or three lines for €5 and those interested contact the office on 091 762001 or checkout mycharity.ie/stocktakingiecowpattybingo
The entry for the Golf Classic is €100 per team and Stocktaking.ie is looking for teams of three to join them in their 3 ball scramble. Payment can be made on the day of the Golf Outing but tee times must be booked in advance with Cregmore Park Golf Club, with fantastic prizes on offer for the winning teams.
Every €1 donation is welcome according to Patrick McDermott who says, “As a father of three young children I am thankful for their health and happiness. Unfortunately, there are some children who are not so fortunate and they have life threatening illnesses and deserve the best possible care in their own home. The Jack & Jill Foundation supports the parents of these extremely sick children, having supported 1,600 families since 1997, including 96 in Galway. Stocktaking.ie is delighted to have the Jack & Jill Foundation as our chosen charity and we really urge the local community of bingo and golf fans to jump on board.”
