The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is delighted to announce that it is now officially JAM Card friendly across the entire organisation. This important milestone comes after all staff members including Nurses, Shop Managers, office staff, and the Family Support Team successfully completed JAM (Just A Minute) training.
@jackandjillcf 🎉 We’re officially JAM Card certified! 🧡 At Jack and Jill, our entire team is now trained to recognise and support anyone using a JAM Card, a simple tool that means “Just A Minute” and helps remove stress in everyday situations. Whether you’re calling us or visiting one of our shops, just show your JAM Card and our team will know how to help with patience, understanding and a smile! 😊 #JAMCard #InvisibleDisabilities #JustAMinute #AccessibilityMatters #JackandJill #DisabilityInclusion #BeKind #CustomerSupport ♬ original sound – jackandjillcf
The JAM Card initiative, created by social enterprise The NOW Group, allows people with a learning difficulty, autism or communication barrier to discreetly and easily signal their need for ‘Just A Minute’ of patience and understanding in public settings. By becoming JAM Card friendly, Jack and Jill is reinforcing its commitment to inclusion, accessibility and community care.
“We’re really proud to have achieved JAM accreditation across the entire organisation, whether it’s in our Charity Boutiques, our head office, or through our community-based nursing service, this training ensures that everyone we meet – families, supporters, customers or colleagues feels respected, understood and welcome. It’s a small gesture that makes a big impact.” – Stacey Bohanna, Head of Compliance and Retail.

At Jack and Jill, we support over 400 families across Ireland with in-home nursing care for children with complex medical needs. We know that true care goes beyond medical support it’s also about how we interact with one another, how we communicate and how we build a culture of compassion.
Becoming JAM Card friendly is one more way we’re ensuring that Jack and Jill is a place where every person is treated with patience, kindness, and respect.
