The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is a nationwide charity that offers support, advocacy and an in-home nursing service to help children and their families under the age of 6 years who have a significant neurodevelopmental delay involving severe learning difficulties. This may include infants whose development future is uncertain: our service may be offered to them in the short term. Support is offered to all families whose child is at end of life within our age limit regardless of their diagnosis.
The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation offer a child and family centred care service and believes that families should be supported to care for their children in their own homes.
On receipt of a referral the Liaison Nurse Manager (LMN) in your area will make contact. Our service offers the expert support of the LMN who will advise, help and advocate for your family as well as overseeing the in-home nursing service. The service to all families is reviewed on a six-monthly basis.
Our role includes listening to parents and seeking solutions which can include making representation’s to other health care professionals and the government. The aim of our service is to reduce some of the worries/difficulties which come with caring for a child with additional needs while also allowing families have some time out.
