Reasons to Nominate Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill Mother and child

1. Like AIB, Jack & Jill supports families in communities across Ireland and demonstrates sustainability by supporting 412 children currently in our care.

We do this through our in-home respite and specialist nursing care, there is no waiting list, no means test, we are 25% funded by the HSE with the rest coming from fundraising and our fantastic corporate friends. We also operate 7 days a week. The service is delivered and funded through our 500 community specialist nurses right through to our 11 charity shops and our countless amazing volunteers everywhere. #CommunityMatters

2. The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is a nationwide charity that funds and provides in-home nursing care and respite support for children with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay, up to the age of 6.

This may include children with brain injury, genetic diagnosis, cerebral palsy and undiagnosed conditions. Another key part of our service is end of life care for all children up to the age of 6, irrespective of diagnosis.

3. There can be no doubt that the service provided by Jack and Jill makes an enormous difference to the lives of the children and their families across the country.

However, it could not be possible without the continued ongoing support of the public’s help to fund the vital work we do.
