As the Jack and Jill Foundation are heavily involved in recycling not only phones, but also ink cartridges and computers, we are aware of the strong link which exists to the strand Environmental Awareness and Care. As this is an integral part of the Geography and Science Curriculum at Primary Level, we have developed a number of presentation, lessons and downloads to assist in teaching some of these elements.
Ireland’s Education system is lucky to be supported by agencies like EPA (The Environmental Protection Agency), An Taisce (Green School Coordinators) and SEI (Sustainable Energy Ireland) who have great classroom resources online.
Our collection of over 100 Nursery Rhymes, just like Jack And Jill Went Up The Hill…will be an asset to any Infant Classroom, as will the many web links we have found to support the use of ICT to assist in research and development of lesson plans.
