Joining Rosanna for the launch were the Dunne family, whose son Alex is supported by Jack and Jill.

Alex is the only known human in the world to have the two specific genetic chromosomal deletions that have caused his condition. Alex and his family are just one of the 416 families across Ireland currently under the care of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

“Since Jack and Jill came into the picture, we get some much-needed time out from Alex’s 24/7 care regime. Our 45 hours of Jack and Jill respite care per month allows us to take Ryan or Ella to training or a match for example, or on some Friday’s we love to get a bite to eat and some down time, so that we can focus on the older kids and have some ‘normal’ time together. Its priceless to us, having peace of mind knowing that Alex is safe, happy and secure at home and that we can focus on Ryan and Ella, and each other.”
