How You Can Help

At the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation, we believe in the power of partnership

Together with our corporate partners, we make a tangible difference in the lives of families across Ireland, providing essential care and support for children with medical complexities. Explore the many ways your organisation can join us in our vital mission.

It will take approximately €7.9M to fund and provide our vital in-home nursing and respite care service and end-of-life support in 2025, with an estimated €1.7M of our funding coming from the HSE. That’s approximately 21.5% and we continue to make the case for more equitable funding.

We need ongoing donors to fund our ongoing care commitment of up to six years per child and family. However, this is a real challenge against the backdrop of the current cost of living crisis and increased charity appeals putting huge pressure on our fundraising model.

Becoming a Partner

Join us as a corporate partner and embark on a journey of impactful support and meaningful engagement.

By aligning with Jack and Jill, your company demonstrates a deep commitment to societal welfare, enhancing your brand’s value while making a real difference in the community. Let’s collaborate to tailor a partnership that aligns with your corporate values, budget and social responsibility goals.

Charity of the Year

Choosing Jack and Jill as your Charity of the Year focuses your giving and unites your team around a vital cause. This partnership offers a year-long collaboration, with numerous fundraising, volunteering, and awareness opportunities, ensuring a lasting impact on the children and families we support.

We’re eager to collaborate on bespoke activities tailored to your team’s interests or invite you to participate in our established annual campaigns, including:

  • Organise an “Up The Hill” Event: Challenge your employees to come together for a physical endeavour with our “Up The Hill” event. Whether it’s climbing a local hill or mountain, or even completing laps around the building, it’s a fantastic opportunity to promote fitness, teamwork, and determination, all while supporting a great cause. • Host a Spring Clean Day: Across Ireland, our network of 16 charity boutiques offer a wide range of pre-loved (and occasionally new) items, including clothing, accessories, toys, books, LEGO, and household goods, all generously donated to us. Many corporate partners participate in Spring Clean initiatives, encouraging employees to donate items they no longer need over a specified day or week. We warmly welcome high-quality pre-loved items for resale in our shops. It’s a great way to declutter, promote sustainability and give back at the same time.
  • Lego Drive: Given our stores feature a selection of pre-loved Lego, we’ve organised Lego Team Building activities with our corporate partners. During these events, employees gather Lego and engage in friendly competition to construct various structures, often inspired by iconic Dublin landmarks. These contests not only foster team spirit but also allow us to repurpose the Lego for resale in our stores, blending team building with a purposeful outcome.
  • Teddy Bear’s Picnic: Every June, the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation launches our heartwarming Teddy Bears Picnic Campaign, inviting schools and crèches to host their own teddy bear picnics. This initiative has also been warmly embraced by our corporate partners, transforming into enchanting family days where employees are encouraged to bring their children and teddy bears for a celebration. Some corporates have creatively adapted the campaign, organising teddy bears picnics just for staff, featuring an array of food, sweet treats, and engaging activities. A standout feature has been the Teddy making workshops where employees craft and personalise teddy bears, which are then lovingly donated to the families we support. In a playful twist, one memorable event had staff bring in photos of their own teddy bears for a “Match the Teddy to the Owner” game.
  • Marathons/Challenges: At Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, we’re always inspired by individuals who push their limits for a good cause. If any members of your staff are planning to participate in marathons, challenges, or any endurance events, we’d be honoured if they chose to do so in aid of Jack and Jill. To support their incredible efforts, we’re here to provide everything they need to fundraise effectively, including personalised fundraising links and Jack and Jill branded T-shirts to wear with pride on the day of the event. It’s a fantastic way to combine personal achievement with making a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we support.

Making a Corporate Donation

A direct corporate donation to the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is an immediate way to contribute to our cause. Your generous support helps us continue providing vital in-home nursing care and respite support, ensuring a local child and their family receives the care they deserve.

Tax Efficient Giving

When your company chooses to support Jack and Jill with a financial donation, not only does your generosity directly benefit children and families in need, but your organisation also enjoys tax advantages. For example, if your Company donates €1,000 to Jack and Jill it can claim tax relief at the Corporation Tax rate of 12.5%. This means the actual cost to the company is only €875, while Jack and Jill receive the full €1,000 benefit.

To claim this relief, the company treats the donation as a trading expense, reducing its taxable profit and thereby its tax liability. It’s a win-win: your company supports a crucial cause while benefiting from a tax-efficient way to give.

Payroll Giving

Payroll giving provides a seamless way for your employees to support Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation directly from their salary. This simple method allows for consistent contributions, offering a steady source of support for children and families in their community.

Individuals can make their Donation Go Even Further At NO Extra Cost To Them

Let your employees know that if they donate €250 or more in a calendar year to Jack and Jill, their contributions can stretch even further at no extra cost to them. Thanks to the Government Tax Back initiative, by completing the CHY3 form, we can claim an additional 44.9% back from Revenue on a donation. This means your employees generosity has an even greater impact, helping us provide essential care and support, all without any additional cost to them or you!

Match Giving

Embrace the power of collective contribution through Match Giving. This program amplifies the impact of your employees’ charitable donations by matching them euro for euro, thus doubling the support extended to the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. Match Giving not only encourages a culture of generosity within your organisation but also significantly enhances the contributions made towards providing vital care for our children. It’s a powerful statement about your company’s values and commitment to making a difference in the lives of families in need.

Volunteer with Colleagues

Volunteering as a corporate group offers a unique opportunity for team building and community engagement while making a meaningful contribution to our mission at the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. There are numerous ways for your team to get involved, lend their time, and utilise their skills to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Some of the impactful ways to volunteer include:

  • Charity Boutique Volunteering: Join us at one of our 16 charity boutiques across the country. Your team can help with sorting donations, merchandising, or even running the shop for a day. It’s a perfect way for colleagues to bond and make a direct impact in a lively retail environment whilst playing their part in sustainability.
  • Shop take over Challenge: Inspired by the spirited competition of the Glenveagh staff, who battled it out to see which store could bring in the most donations, we invite your company to take on a similar challenge. It’s a fun and engaging way to foster team spirit while significantly contributing to our cause. See if your team can set a new record and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we support.
  • Event Support: Lend a hand during one of our many fundraising events throughout the year. Whether it’s assisting with setup, registration, or activities on the day, your group’s efforts will help ensure the success of events that are crucial to our fundraising.
