We want to say a big ‘Thank you’ to all the incredible people who helped to make Jack and Jill Family Fun Day 2024 such huge success.

Family Fun Day is all about community, about families who navigate uphill challenges every day coming together to meet one another to establish relationships and most importantly to have some fun!

It’s also important that siblings of Jack and Jill children see that there are other families who have similar challenges, and for it to feel ‘normal’.

Each year we choose a theme for family day and this year we took inspiration from one of the biggest movies recently – Barbie! Everyone was encouraged to pop on their favourite pink-inspired look.  Families and friends really embraced the theme with everything from Barbie cowgirls to Hawaiian shirted Kens of all ages!

On Saturday, the grounds of Palmerstown House in Naas were transformed and thronged with Barbies and Kens as our staff, volunteers, extra-special Jack and Jill children, their fabulous siblings, parents and grandparents from all over the country descended on the venue and dressed to impress!

There were sensory rooms, face painters, rides, bouncy castles, entertainment and attractions to suit all ages and abilities. Parents had the opportunity to chat and build friendships over tea and coffee while the children had fun playing in the glorious sunshine.
