Style, glitz, glamour and lots of surprises were the order of the evening for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Ball on Friday, 30th June

Jack & Jill were delighted and honoured to be the chosen charity for the 4th year in a row for one of the highlights in the summer social calendar which raised an amazing €64,000 equating to 4,000 hours of home nursing respite care in Jack & Jill currency.

Our sincere thanks to Dubai Duty Free CEO, Colm McLoughlin and his team for their ongoing support over the last number of years which has raised a staggering €294,000 through this black tie ball

Hosed by Tracy Piggott once again,  The “Fairy” themed ball saw 250 revellers enjoy a fantastic spread of food, wine and entertainment throughout the night.  With guests including Dubai Duty Free CEO, Colm McLoughlin and his wife Breeda and family, Sinead El Sibai and family, together with model, Roz Lipsett, economist, Eddie Hobbs, and socialite Marcus Sweeney to name but  a few in attendance, the magical atmosphere of the black-tie gala event was brought to life by performances from Monica Loughman Elite Ballet Company, and a surprise performance by Irish dance troup Slide Step who had the stage pounding with energetic, cutting-edge, heart-stopping hard-shoe Irish contemporary dance rhythms.

If that’s not all, after dining on a superb 4 course dinner, and securing some top items in the Live Auction and raffle, award-winning House Party Band had guests on the dance floor until the early hours of Saturday morning with everyone concluding that the 2017 Dubai Duty Free Ball was another roaring success.
